Associate Degree in Digital Media: Program Information
The growth of the Internet and new applications for video are creating an expanding set of employment opportunities in digital media. Associate's degree programs in digital media train students in digital video and Web editing technology. Associate's Degree in Digital Media
An associate's degree program in digital media explores the creation of sound and moving images with digital technology. Course content covers audio and video recording technology, computer hardware and Web design. Learners delve into graphic and video editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Flash and Dreamweaver, as well as Apple Final Cut, Motion and Soundtrack Pro. Students learn to produce professional quality video for the Web, multimedia and broadcast. Programs emphasize learning by working on multiple small projects. Some programs have students choose an emphasis in either Web graphics or video production. An associate's degree is typically earned in two years.
