Associate in Agribusiness: Degree Overview
Agribusiness, which is also called agricultural business, deals with the operations of a farm as well as the processing and distribution of farm commodities. An associate's degree program in agribusiness is designed for students who want to work in agricultural production, farm management, agricultural equipment sales or a related field.
Associate's Degree Program in Agribusiness
An associate's degree program in agribusiness combines commerce with technical agricultural studies. In addition to a general program in agribusiness, some schools allow students to choose among specializations in areas such as crop or livestock production, horticulture or food technology. These 2-year degree programs help students to develop knowledge and skills in agricultural management, sales and marketing. Students acquire an understanding of key management and technology concepts needed for the farming industry.
