Smith School of Business jointly offer the Master's Program in Telecommunications. Available on a full- time or part-time basis, the 30-credit program features technical education plus instruction in management, regulations and public policy. Specialty subject areas offered by the program include network security and entrepreneurship.
2. University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania
The University of Pittsburgh was 64th in U.S. News & World Report's 2011 ranking of top universities. The School of Information Sciences offers a Master of Science in Telecommunications. Twenty-one credits of this 37-credit program are devoted to an area of specialization; students can choose from policy and management, telecommunications systems, wireless systems and security, among others. The program can be completed in one year of full-time study or in up to four years of part-time study. Employers of past graduates include General Electric, Cisco Systems and U.S. Steel.
