All entry-level engineering positions require at least a bachelor's degree accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. Coursework includes biology, physiology, medical design, clinical instrumentation, life science, and engineering techniques. Faculty positions in biomedical engineering require a graduate degree in biomedical engineering. Master's students may gain clinical experience through enrollment in internship programs.
