There are only a handful of U.S. schools offering Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in British Cultural Studies programs. When available, these programs typically cover areas such as art history, social science, business, humanities, theatre and professional subjects. British cultural studies is an extremely varied and multidisciplinary subject, and students studying British culture at the Ph.D. level often focus on one particular aspect of the field, such as British architecture, comparative literature, film or political studies.
