CompTIA Project+ Certification
The CompTIA Project+ certification covers the entire project management process, including project initialization and setup, planning and scheduling, execution, control and closure. A preparation program for this certification prepares students to use quantitative and qualitative analysis to appropriately allocate resources, control costs, manage risks, ensure quality and calculate earned value.
Students develop the skills needed to create project charters, scope documents, planning documents and other deliverables used to communicate the project management process. They can also learn to comply with organizational and legal requirements, manage human resources and resolve conflict.
Education Prerequisites
CompTIA recommends that individuals have a year of experience working in project management (www.comptia.org). Some training programs may additionally require the completion of a networking course.

Preparation programs for this certification teach the processes that are involved in project management, from project initiation to closure. Some basic management concepts are also taught. Some topics include:

Some schools offer bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees with a project management major.
