A+ Computer Repair Certificate

Students in this program learn the difference between data and information while also exploring how computers have impacted society. They first complete a computer introduction course before moving into classes that focus on how computers and systems operate. In a course on computer operation and repair, they learn how a computer works and what the major parts are. Students also learn to use diagnostic tools to fix problems. Other required courses cover computer networking and the relationship between hardware and software. Two required courses prepare students to take certification tests for CompTIA A+. A student may be required to complete a course on transitioning into college, if they have not taken college courses in the past. This certificate requires completion of 14-15 credit hours.
