Read on to learn about certificate programs, including common courses, continuing education opportunities and career options.
Academic programs in international logistics management, also called global logistics management, are mainly found as certificate programs. Some are designed to give working professionals additional education for career advancement, while others prepare students for entry-level employment. At some schools, credits earned in certificate programs can be applied towards a degree. Some international logistics programs are found in continuing education departments. All these programs are brief, but program lengths vary. Some programs are spread over a semester or two, while others can be completed in a few days of intensive study.
International logistics managers deal with practical issues that impact global business, such as transportation arrangements, import and export regulations, packaging and shipping issues and international financial transactions. Students develop logistical problem-solving skills and learn to look at challenges from both the customer and vendor standpoints.

- Transportation economics
- Export and import procedures

- Government regulation
- Letters of credit
