What are the Available NCLEX-PN Preparation Resources?

A licensed practical nurse (LPN) is a mid-level nursing career that is a step below a registered nurse (RN). These professionals often use this position as a springboard to move up the ladder in the nursing field. In order to become a LPN, one must take and pass the NCLEX-PN exam. This test is given on a computer and is reported to state licensing boards as a pass-fail, meaning test takers will need a certain score to successfully pass the examination. LPN Training Program

Students pursuing a LPN training program, which are typically available at vocational, junior and community colleges, may want to contact their state's board of nursing. This will provide them with a list of schools which have approved programs. These programs commonly include clinical and in-class work and cover subjects such as physiology, anatomy, patient care, geriatrics and others. This program takes one or more years and graduates are prepared for the NCLEX-PN exam.
