Management Analyst

Job Description

Management analysts, also known as management consultants, work to improve profit margins, worker efficiency and the structure of business and organizations. Specializing in international business allows management analysts to head overseas and advise companies on how to improve. These workers are hired by big and small companies alike to help improve a company's infrastructure.

Salary Information

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), management analysts made a mean hourly wage of $40.70, or $84,650 annually, in May 2009 (www.bls.gov). The lowest-paid ten percent of management analysts were paid $42,500 or less. The best-paid management analysts made upwards of $134,820. This career is expected to grow by 24% between 2008-2018, much faster than other occupations.

Administrative Service Manager

Job Description

Administrative service managers can provide international companies assistance with efficient operation and services. These workers often oversee the centralized operation of multiple areas within the company like mailing, scheduling, distribution and data processing. An administrative service manager can improve his or her company with strategies that include examining energy saving techniques or transportation costs.

Salary Information

In May 2009, the average yearly salary for administrative services managers was $81,530, and half of all administrative services managers made between $53,820-$100,560 in yearly income. Projected growth in this field should be about as fast as average. Keen competition is expected for top-level managerial positions with more openings in lower-level openings.

Chief Executive Officer

Job Description

Chief executive officers with international business experience can work and manage overseas companies. CEOs who work in the United States can be expected to do business with oversea companies, making international business knowledge valuable. Working alongside other top executives, CEOs help establish and choose a company's policies and goals.

Salary Information

The BLS reported that top executives like CEOs averaged an income of $167,280 in May 2009; however, the lowest-paid made $71,000 or less. CEO salaries were highest in securities, natural gas distribution and electronics manufacturing. The BLS expected little to no job growth and keen competition, due to the high pay, benefits and prestige associated with CEOs.
