Students: Back to School Blogging Could Win You $20,000

Aug 31, 2010

Tech companies Lenovo and Intel have teamed up to offer a $20,000 scholarship to one lucky American college or university student, with runner-up prizes including a $1,000 gift card or a free laptop or Netbook. Read on to discover how you can win big for writing this back to school season.

Intel and Lenovo University of Bloggers

Just like many people start a new year with a new resolution, lots of students set goals at the beginning of a new school year. Whether you want to change your study habits (library at 8am every day?), learn a new skill (we hear rock climbing is fun) or have an exciting adventure (try riding your lawnmower back to school ala Alvin Straight), you can turn that goal into a lot of cold, hard cash - $20,000, to be precise.

Intel has partnered with Lenovo to offer a scholarship to one student who sets him or herself a goal this fall and blogs about it on LenovoBlogU.com. Blogs should be consistently updated as students progress toward their goals, and they will be monitored and judged based on creativity, popularity and frequency of posts.

In addition to the $20,000 Grand Prize, there will be runner-up prizes such as a $1,000 gift card to your on-campus bookstore (free books for years!) and Lenovo laptops and Netbooks.

All contestants must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university, undergraduate or graduate. And hurry - the 10 'Dean's List' finalists will be chosen on September 30, and the Grand Prize winner will be announced on October 10.
