It's that simple! The scholarship entry deadline is Friday, December 9. You must be over 18 and enrolled in a certificate, diploma or degree program to be eligible to enter. The winner will be chosen by a scholarship selection committee based on the quality and originality of the responses to the Textbook Affordability Survey. - Saylor.org: Founded on the belief that 'everyone, everywhere should have access to a college education,' the team at Saylor is working to create 200 online complete college courses free of charge.
- Student PIRGS: Student PIRGs reports that the cost of college textbooks has risen at over four times the rate of inflation in the past four years and is leading the Textbook Rebellion to help students find lower cost alternatives.

Earn Real Credit from Free Courses
While the free courses above don't award credit directly, you can earn credit by passing an exam and transferring credit to your college. There are two widely recognized and affordable options for exams that award credit.
Option #1: CLEP Exams
The College Board's 33 CLEP exams allow you to test out of your general education requirements. Credit is accepted at 2/3 of colleges and universities in the U.S.
Option #2: Excelsior College's Credit-by-Exam
Excelsior College offers over 40 exams that lead to transferable credit. You can also earn three full degrees by taking free online courses and earning your credit by exam.
