The Duke University School of Medicine offers a 4-year residency program to students with an M.D. who have completed a 1-year postgraduate internship in medicine. The purpose of the program is to train physicians to become skilled and compassionate radiation oncologists. 3. Washington University in St. Louis, MO
Washington University (WU) ranked fourth on the U.S. News & World Report list of best U.S. medical schools for research for 2012. WU's residency program is open to medical doctors who have completed a 1-year internship in medicine. The program is offered through the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Siteman Cancer Center.
