Top Microbiology Schools and Colleges in the U.S.
The study of microorganisms, microscopic and unicellular organisms, is referred to as microbiology. Scientists in the field study these organisms in an attempt to learn about a number of subjects such as virology, bacteriology, mycology and parasitology. The purpose of these studies is to study immunology and learn about the immune system.
