Wright State University

Wright State University (WSU) opened its doors in 1964 and now serves more than 19,000 students. The 557-acre campus features 25 academic buildings, including four university libraries and the Wright State University Nutter Center, a 12,000-seat athletics center. Offering more than 150 degree programs, WSU was ranked among the distinguished schools placed on the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Role in 2010. The Raj Soin College of Business is home to roughly 1,700 students and is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The college is ranked in the top tier of business schools by U.S. News and World Report and was recognized as being among the best 300 business schools by the Princeton Review in 2011. The college is home to the Department of Information Systems and Operations Management, which is comprised of 30 board members and 14 faculty members. The department's bachelor's degree program in management information systems was the first in the state of Arizona to be accredited by the Accrediting Board for Engineering and Technology. The department offers degree programs in supply chain management, management information systems and information systems.

Master of Information Systems

The master's degree program in information systems can be completed in 12 months and is comprised of five weekend residencies and 48 credit hours of coursework. The program is divided into the domains of project assurance and failure avoidance, technology strategies, business continuity and disaster recovery, enterprise systems, project assurance and technology architecture.

Students enrolled in the program learn through case studies, real-life experiences, lectures and simulations. Coursework in the program covers topics such as information recovery, customer data management, quality assurance and project management. The program concludes with a major research project.
