Founded in 1957, California State University - Stanislaus (CSU-S) is located on a 228-acre campus and is one of 23 schools in the California State University system. Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems

A student in this programs is required to complete a 2-semester course in either Visual Basic or Java programming. Students complete a writing proficiency screening test to demonstrate writing skills. The program emphasizes computer information systems, business functions and organizations. Students learn to design, implement and analyze computer information systems. Prerequisites to the major include accounting, law, ethics, computer information systems and Java programming. Core courses include Visual Basic programming, systems administration, business finance, database management systems, operations management and management science.
