e-Commerce Management Programs

Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a major in e-Commerce and Information Systems

Within this 180-credit degree program, students learn how to electronically conduct business in an increasingly challenging global economy. An education in both technology and business can prepare graduates to work in a variety of settings, such as non-profit organizations, international corporations and government agencies. The e-commerce and information systems major requires an additional 25 credits to the core curriculum and foundation requirements. It involves courses in Internet strategies and technologies, business programming fundamentals, object-oriented modeling, Internet marketing and business database systems. Students must also complete such course topics as information systems and e-commerce introduction, quantitative methods and economic principles.

Students of this major may join the school's Association of e-Commerce and Information Systems, which helps them professionally transition to the business world. It provides job contacts and career opportunities to interested parties. Active participation in the association also helps e-commerce students learn about emerging technologies in the field.
