3. University of Georgia in Athens

The University of Georgia, another public institution, ranked 56th on U.S. News and World Report's list of best national university for 2011. At the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, students can pursue a bachelor's degree program in animal science, through which they'll learn about the biological, physical and economical aspects of animal production. In particular, students will work with sheep, swine and other livestock, as well as horses.
