Degrees in e-commerce are awarded at the undergraduate and graduate levels and may be offered through business, computer science or operations management departments. 1. Seattle University in Seattle, WA

Seattle University was ranked sixth best college in the West by U.S. News and World Report in 2012. The Princeton Review's 2012 list of best business schools in the West included Seattle University's Albers School of Business and Economics. Seattle offers a bachelor's degree in business administration with a major in e-commerce and information systems. E-Commerce students can join the E-commerce and Information Systems Club and attend interactive speaking events that feature regional professional executives.

2. University of Scranton in Scranton, PA

Founded in 1888 as a Catholic, Jesuit institution, the University of Scranton is a private school with enrollment of approximately 6,000 students. In 2012, U.S. News and World Report ranked the University of Scranton eighth on its list of best colleges in the North. Additionally, Scranton was ranked 36th on Washington Monthly's 2011 list of best master's universities. Scranton's e-commerce program, which awards a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Commerce, is part of the specialized Operations and Information Management (OIM) department within the School of Management. OIM faculty members publish work in e-commerce journals, such as the International Journal of Electronic Commerce and the Journal of Internet Commerce.

Towson University, located in a suburb of Baltimore, was listed as one of the best northeastern colleges in 2012 by the Princeton Review and U.S. News and World Report ranked Towson 11th among top public schools in the North in 2012. The school's Jess and Mildred Fisher College of Science and Mathematics houses a center dedicated to STEM - science, technology, engineering and mathematics - and coordinates a number of endeavors focused on supporting and enhancing the quality of STEM education and interest in the community. The college awards the Master of Science in Computer Science with an e-commerce track. Towson's undergraduate business school also offers a major in e-business that includes courses in electronic marketing and technologies.
