1. Bentley University in Waltham, MA
Bentley University is a small college serving approximately 5,500 students every year, and it is focused primarily on business education while also providing a foundation in liberal arts. Bentley is well-regarded by U.S. News and World Report, having placed fourth on their 2011 'Best Regional Colleges - North' rankings as well as being part of the top 20 management information systems programs in the nation that same year. Bentley's Information and Process Management (IPM) department offers three tracks of study, including enterprise systems, information management and process management, as part of the IPM minor offered to both undergraduate and graduate students. Some undergraduate and graduate courses include information support systems, cyberforensics in business, management processes and information privacy. Internships and seminars are also offered to graduate students in the program.

Founded in 1851, the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities is a public research university offering several different areas of study to over 33,000 undergraduate students. In 2011, U.S. News and World Report not only considered the University of Minnesota to have one of the top 20 business schools in the nation, but also one of the top five management information systems programs. Located in the Carlson School of Management, the information systems program is offered as an emphasis that is part of a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in which courses such as business intelligence, enterprise systems and global sourcing of information technology are required.
