City College of San Francisco's EMT Programs

With a student population nearing 33,000 each year, the City College of San Francisco (CCSF) is one of the largest 2-year, public schools in the Bay Area. The school offers academic and vocational programs leading to certificates of completion, Associate of Arts degrees and Associate of Science degrees. It provides EMT classes within its School of Health & Physical Education.

EMT-Basic Certificate

The City College of San Francisco offers an introductory EMT program that provides students with the educational background necessary to sit for the EMT-Basic certification exam. Students learn advanced first aid skills and immediate emergency response techniques. Through classroom lectures and clinical training, they also learn how to provide patient assessment, CPR, basic life support and respiratory emergency care.

EMT-B Refresher Course

This San Francisco school also offers an EMT-Basic refresher course for students who are seeking to renew their EMT-Basic certification. The course covers much of the same practical skills and procedures of the EMT-Basic program.
