Portland State University

Located in Portland's downtown area, Portland State University is the largest public 4-year university in Oregon. Portland State University's urban location has influenced the university's mission by directing the focus of operations toward enhancing and improving urban life. Certificates and bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees are available through the university's eight colleges and schools. Portland Community College

Portland Community College has three branch campuses in the Portland metro area, each within 15 miles of Beaverton. The largest of these three campuses is the Sylvania Campus, which is located on a wooded campus in Portland's west hills. In addition to traditional certificate and degree programs offered at these three campuses, Portland Community College offers other educational resources to the community. Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham, OR

With campuses in Gresham and Portland, Mt. Hood Community College's campuses are no further than 15 miles away from Beaverton. Students enrolled in Mt. Hood Community College's more than 60 academic and technical programs earn certificates and associate degrees. Many of the college's associate degree programs are designed specifically to prepare students to transfer to a bachelor's degree program. In addition to offering courses at its three campuses, Mt.
