Founded in 1880, the University of Southern California (USC) is a private research university that serves 37,000 students annually. One of the best universities for broadcast journalism, USC was named a 2010 Best Western College by the Princeton Review. At USC's Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism, students can earn a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism or a Master of Arts in Journalism with an emphasis in broadcasting. 2. University of Illinois at Urbana - Champaign
