Austin Community College District
Austin Community College District, in Austin, Texas, offers three programs for students planning for an entry-level position in accounting and bookkeeping. The accounting clerk certificate program requires students to complete 32 credit hours, which includes an accounting technician/bookkeeping internship. Students in the accounting specialist program must complete 60 credit hours while those in the accounting technician program must complete 61.
Blinn College
Blinn College, in Brenham, Texas, offers a certificate program in accounting that trains students for an entry-level position in the field. The 30 semester-hour program includes coursework in basic accounting procedures and data entry. Students may transfer the credits to an Associate in Applied Science in Accounting degree program, which is offered on the Bryan, Texas campus.
Brookhaven College
Brookhaven College, in Farmers Branch, offers an associate degree and three certificate programs in accounting for students preparing for an entry-level career in the field. San Antonio College

University of Texas at Brownsville
