The first community college to be established in California, Fresno City College is located approximately eight miles southwest of Clovis, California. The college offers certificate and associate degree programs through nine divisions, as well as a variety of transfer programs. A dedicated center is available to facilitate student transfers to the University of California and California State University campuses. Areas of study at the college include police training, business, performing arts, health sciences, social sciences and engineering.

California State University, Fresno

California State University, Fresno - commonly referred to as Fresno State - is located approximately six miles from Clovis, CA, at the foot of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. One of 23 campuses of the California State University educational system, the college offers degree programs in agricultural sciences and technology, education and human development, business, engineering and social sciences, among others. Approximately 85% of its students are undergraduates, and 81% of the diverse student population attends full-time. Fresno State also provides a variety of continuing and global education programs in addition to its undergraduate and graduate degree offerings.

Reedley College is situated in a rural setting within the San Joaquin Valley. Its main campus is approximately 30 miles southeast of Fresno and 20 miles south of Clovis.
