Since its founding in 1889, this U.S. school has grown to five colleges, which offer nearly 200 undergraduate and graduate programs. Clemson's College of Architecture, Arts and Humanities contains a department specifically devoted to construction science and management. 2. University of Washington - Seattle

One of the top public research institutions in the United States, University of Washington - Seattle was ranked as 2010's 42nd-best national college by U.S. News and World Report. The university boasts three campuses and 17 professional schools and colleges, one of which is the College of Built Environments.
