The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) estimated a 12% increase in jobs for elementary and middle school teachers from 2012-2022, while employment of high school teachers was only predicted to rise six percent ( In May 2013, the BLS reported that elementary school teachers made a median annual salary of $53,590, middle school teachers made a median annual salary of $53,940 and high school teachers made a median annual salary of $55,360.
