The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported that employment of nutritionists and dieticians was expected to increase during the 2008-2018 decade by about nine percent (www.bls.gov). The need for nutritionists and dieticians was expected to grow as more people become health-conscious and make better efforts to live healthier through dietary choices. Nutritionists and dieticians made a median annual salary of $53,250 as of May 2010, according to the BLS.
