These schools offer certificate programs, as well as bachelor's and master's degree programs. 1. Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington

This top herbalism school is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, as well as the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM). This herbalism college offers a Bachelor of Science in Herbal Sciences for individuals who have already completed two years of undergraduate coursework. Additionally, licensed acupuncturists can pursue a certificate in Chinese herbal medicine. Not only can herbalism students utilize the school's medicinal herb garden, which has more than 300 types of herbs, but the college sits adjacent to a more than 300-acre state park.

2. Maryland University of Integrative Health in Laurel, Maryland

This school, formerly known as Tai Sophia, has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools since 2006 and approved by the ACAOM since 1985. This top herbalism college offers a Master of Science in Herbal Medicine program, as well as various certificate programs in herbal education. Novices can enroll in a 9-month herbal studies certificate program. There is also a medical herbalism certificate program for health care professionals and a Chinese herbalism course for acupuncturists and select herbal college graduate students.
