Holistic animal care courses are specialized courses usually offered through veterinary teaching hospitals. Graduate students or current veterinarians may enroll in holistic animal care courses. Holistic animal care courses are offered through many veterinarian programs. Students review various methods of holistic care and learn how to practice them. This introductory course gives students insight into how veterinarians perceive holistic methods and current trends. Classes include lectures and discussions.

Herbs for Companion Animals

Students identify herbs and flowers that can be used to naturally heal animals. They learn how to plan a holistic diet that will promote a companion animal's overall wellness. Aromatherapy techniques are introduced along with an overview of how aromatherapy can be beneficial to animals. Medical Acupuncture for Veterinarians
