Tennessee State University (TSU)

Although TSU does not offer a degree program strictly in holistic nutrition, the university does provide holistic nursing programs that cover some nutrition topics. Registered nurses may apply to the school's graduate or certificate programs.

Master of Science in Nursing with a Concentration in Holistic Nursing

The holistic nursing concentration in the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program at TSU can provide students with a thorough understanding of medical nursing and holistic methods that can be applied in health care facilities. The program requires the completion of 43 credit hours, with courses ranging from nursing practices to a holistic nursing practicum. Courses in the program cover aspects of herbology, pharmacology, advanced holistic assessment and psychoneuroimmunology.

Certificate of Postgraduate Studies in Holistic Nursing

TSU's 14-credit certificate program is available to students who already hold their MSN degrees. Students must complete a series of holistic nursing concentration courses, as well as clinical hours. Prerequisite classes are required in pharmacology, pathophysiology and assessment.
