The 120-credit Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Sciences is a science-based degree program designed to prepare students for human nutrition. Although it doesn't include principles or courses in holistic nutrition, the program does provide information about using nutrition and diet to improve health. Students can select from three concentrations that meet the requirements of the Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD): nutrition and dietetics management, comprehensive nutrition or sports nutrition. They can also pursue a pre-professional concentration that can prepare them for graduate studies, but that doesn't meet the DPD requirements. Courses could include nutrition and metabolism, nutrition assessment, medical nutrition therapy and community nutrition.
