Indiana State University's Criminology Online Degree Program
Indiana State University offers online bachelor's and master's degree programs in criminology and criminal justice. Courses focus on crime prevention, intervention, counseling, law enforcement and relations between the police and the community at large. Both programs may be taken 100% online.
Online Criminology Programs Available at Indiana State University
Indiana State University (ISU) offers online programs that can lead to a Bachelor of Science, a Master of Arts or a Master of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice. Each of these programs is offered entirely online over the Internet.
Bachelor's Degree Option
ISU offers a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice degree-completion program online. This 62- to 70-semester-hour program prepares students for law school or for careers in juvenile justice, corrections, private security and law enforcement. The degree completion program includes 39 credit hours in criminology or criminal justice, only 18 of which can be transferred from another college. Some course topics for the program include:

- Juvenile delinquency
- Industrial and commercial security
Master's Degree Options
Indiana State University offers two master's degree programs in criminology and criminal justice. Although all courses for both programs are delivered online, students need to meet prerequisite undergraduate course requirements in the field of criminology. Topics studied during an online master's degree program include:

- Police practices
- Law administration
- Correctional counseling and group therapy
Master of Science
The Master of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice is a 36-credit-hour program. Courses are geared toward students bound for law school or careers in adult and juvenile parole, probation, corrections or crime prevention.
Master of Arts
The 33-credit-hour Master of Arts in Criminology and Criminal Justice program is suited for students planning to continue on to doctoral degree programs. Those who wish to pursue careers in research or academia should also choose this option.
