Boston University

Located across two campuses, Boston University offers degrees at the bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels. Medical and dental programs are available, and master's degree programs are available in over 100 areas of study. BU maintains a graduate enrollment of around 40% of the total student population. A high-level research institution, BU provides graduate students with ample opportunities to obtain real-world experience on campus. Study abroad programs are available in 39 different cities across 28 countries in over 100 fields. Graduate credit is available for 14 of these programs.

Harvard University

Harvard University is the oldest and perhaps best-known postsecondary school in the United States. Graduate students make up about 69% of the university's student population. Eleven different schools within Harvard offer degree programs; master's degree programs are available in nearly all areas of study. This research institution maintains 13 museums and 13 libraries. There are more than 300 student clubs and organizations. Harvard has more than 3,500 courses available for students of multiple degree levels, allowing for specialization in and exploration of many fields of study.

Northeastern University

Boston's Northeastern University confers bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and doctorates in over 70 areas of study. Graduate degrees are offered in more than 120 fields, including business and law. There are 35 specialized centers of research located at Northeastern University. The unique cooperative education program allows undergraduate students to alternate between semesters of full-time study and 6-month periods of full-time work, typically paid, in their field of interest. Students may complete three co-op work experiences before they graduate.
