Central Connecticut State University

One of Connecticut's oldest public schools, Central Connecticut State University is a comprehensive university located within the city limits of New Britain. University of Hartford

Established in 1957, the University of Hartford has grown from a commuter school to a large residential campus that offers nearly 90 undergraduate and over 30 graduate degree programs, as well as certificates and diplomas. Located approximately 14 miles north of New Britain, the university's seven schools and colleges offer programs in the arts and sciences, business, education, health professions, engineering and architecture. Many of the university's resources are available to area businesses and industries, including its centers for integrated design, engineering applications and micro business. Tunxis Community College in Farmington

Tunxis Community College is a 2-year, public college located in Farmington, which is just five miles from New Britain. The college offers 35 associate's degree and 24 certificate programs in diverse areas of study, such as graphic design, business administration, early childhood education, engineering, allied health, criminal justice and counseling.
