Citadel Military College of South Carolina - Charleston, SC

Formerly called the Citadel Academy, this South Carolina military college has been graduating cadets for almost two decades prior to the Civil War. Living and studying under a classical military system, the Corps of Cadets members are trained in character and leadership, as well as in academics. There are five academic schools in The Citadel, including humanities and social sciences, engineering, education, science and mathematics and business. Through these schools, degrees are offered in 14 academic areas.
