Differences between Online and On-Campus Programs for Medical Receptionists

The basic differences between on-campus and online medical receptionist programs, in addition to the number of programs available, are the variety of courses included in the program. Classes in on-campus programs that do not appear in online programs include studies of phone systems navigation, legal and ethical standards, job search skills, and reading medical reports.

The biggest advantage of online programs is that students may attend classes and complete work at their own convenience. A commonality between online and on-campus medical receptionist programs is that each leads to a certificate of completion.
