Pennsylvania State University in University Park

Pennsylvania State University (Penn State) in University Park is the largest school in the state to offer degree programs through an online college. In 2010, U.S. News and World Report ranked this 4-year public institution 47th among the best national universities. Since 1892, Penn State has been a leader in distance education, providing one of the first correspondence programs in the nation. Penn State World Campus offers more than 70 online undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Each year, the World Campus serves more than 9,500 students from more than 60 countries. Altogether, the online learning program at Penn State offers more than 530 courses.

Online Undergraduate Degrees

Penn State World Campus offers six associate's degree programs and ten bachelor's degree programs. Degrees offered include an Associate in Arts in Letters, Arts and Sciences, an Associate in Science in Information Sciences and Technology, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Online Graduate Degrees

At the graduate level, Penn State World College offers at least 20 master's degree programs. Interested students can pursue a flexible graduate degree online, including a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Project Management, a Master of Software Engineering and a Master of Professional Studies in Homeland Security.
