The school awards Associate of Science and Associate of Arts degrees, Certificates of Achievement, and Certificates of Completion.

The school's programs are offered through three main departments. Available fields of study include American Sign Language, fire technology, sociology, psychology, physics, and biology.

The school also operates a fire academy, marine center and aquarium, and a child development center. These facilities are used in its educational programs focusing on those areas.

3 - California State University - Channel Islands

The newest member of the California State University System, this university is located in Camarillo. In 2013, U.S. News and World Report ranked it 68th of the best regional universities in the west.

The school offers about 30 programs through three schools: the School of Education, School of Arts and Sciences, and the Martin V. Smith School of Business and Economics. Undergraduate programs are available in subject such as information technology, Spanish, sociology, chemistry, nursing, and performing arts.

The school offers two graduate programs: a Master of Arts in English and a Master of Arts in Education. However, it also offers additional graduate programs through the Extended University program.
