Plumbing Apprenticeship

To enroll in the Bergen County Technical Schools' plumbing apprenticeship, students must obtain full-time employment in the trade and be sponsored by their employer or union. The program takes 4-5 years, depending on the student's current knowledge and experience in the trade.

To fulfill licensing requirements, students spend a minimum of 144 hours in the classroom during each year of the apprenticeship. After successfully completing the apprenticeship training, students are qualified to take the state's licensing examinations for plumbers.
