Jones International University's Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting program presents fundamental accounting principles and practices, including financial accounting and management, cost accounting, product and service costing, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and accounting standards, accounting information systems, income statements, balance sheets, statements of cash flow, investments, pensions, individual income tax, business tax and tax planning. The program is designed to introduce students to management theory, economic theory, business operations and structure, financial flow in business and the legal system, including administrative, criminal, contract, business and employment law. Students can study marketing research methods and applications, consumer behavior and marketing management. Coursework includes an examination of the impact of globalization on business, multi-national marketing, multi-national supply chains and what it takes to be globally competitive. Students also have the opportunity to develop skills in business writing, technical writing, strategic management, and change and conflict management. Additionally, students can develop their professional resume and portfolio in the capstone course.
