Program Description:
Jones International University's Master of Education with a specialization in Adult Education program is designed to teach students about adult learning assessment techniques, the theory of adult learning and organizational development strategies. The degree program allows students to choose three specialization elective courses and requires the completion of six core education courses. Some of the courses included in the curriculum are strategic planning for educators, assessment strategies to improve adult learning, adult learning theory and business management for learning organizations. The degree program concludes with a capstone course that requires students to pull a topic from their education portfolios and develop it further. Previous examples of projects include a grant proposal, an appraisal of an existing education program and a website.
