The University of Phoenix Graduate Accounting Certificate program is intended for students who have already earned a bachelor's degree and want to learn more about accounting. Applicants to this program are seeking to complete additional coursework for the CPA exam, enter the accounting field or enhance existing accounting management skills. Applicants must also have access to a suitable work environment.
The program covers topics such as auditing, financial accounting, and regulation. The program is designed to prepare students for accounting careers and is a first step towards eligibility for the CPA exam. Students who are interested in becoming Certified Public Accountants can use CPA Test Preparation software while completing program coursework.

Furthering Your Education:
After completing the University of Phoenix Graduate Accounting Certificate program, students could pursue a master's degree in accounting or business. Some masters degree programs may include all of the coursework needed to prepare students for the CPA exam.
Master's degrees that graduates could pursue include but are not limited to:
- Master of Science in Accountancy
- Master of Business Administration
