Program Description:

Walden University's B.S. in Criminal Justice program with a concentration in Homeland Security is designed to teach students about types of disasters, weapons of mass destruction, and biological agents and how to respond to such threats. Students learn valuable skills that are necessary among first responders, hazardous material managers, emergency relief agencies, and border patrol. Specialized instruction in homeland security complements core criminal justice coursework in criminology, criminal law, corrections, judicial process, and law enforcement. Students also have the opportunity to take courses from other concentration areas within the Criminal Justice program as part of the requirement to earn 75 credits through elective courses.
