Walden University's Education Specialist in Teacher Leadership program is designed for teachers who want to impact student learning at their school or learning organization. Some of the topics covered in the curriculum include applied research in education, leadership for today's schools, collegial interactions and professional development, the theory and research of teaching and leading, and foundations of teacher leadership. The degree program ends with a capstone course that focuses on trends, issues, and global perspectives on teacher leadership. Students who complete this program might be able to use their sills to help solve educational problems.
