Walden University's Master of Clinical Psychology - Counseling program is designed to prepare students for professional and educational involvement in the psychology field. The program's curriculum is aligned with the national standards set by the American Psychological Association (APA) and the American Counseling Association (ACA). Individuals who enroll in the Master of Clinical Psychology - Counseling program have a chance to study a variety of foundational components of psychology and human behavior, including intellectual, emotional, and environmental aspects of behavior; various models of counseling; and how to properly apply research to real-world situations in clinical settings. Prior to graduation, students also have an opportunity to observe various models of therapy including substance-abuse, marriage, and family.
