Walden University's M.S. in Education (M.S.Ed.) program with a specialization in Professional Development (Grades PreK-12) prepares P-12 educators to work as professional developers of teachers. The program's specialization courses are based on the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) Core Propositions and the National Staff Development Council (NSDC) Standards. Specialization courses focus on curriculum design, implementing professional development, evaluating professional development, and differentiated instruction. The program also provides a core curriculum that emphasizes four themes: teacher professionalism, supportive learning environments, cultural and linguistic diversity, and learning facilitation.
