CUNY New York City College of Technology's Radiology Program

Located in Brooklyn, one of New York City's five boroughs, CUNY New York City College of Technology is the Northeast's largest public college of technology offering bachelor's degree programs. The program in radiologic technology and medical imaging is offered through the college's Department of Radiologic Technology and Medical Imaging. The Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredits City Tech's radiologic technology and medical imaging comprehensive program.

Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Radiologic Technology and Medical Imaging

Students new to this program are classified as pre-clinical and must take courses such as psychology, physiology, human anatomy and ethics in medicine in order to progress into the clinical phase. Successful completion of all clinical courses is required, and the program offers clinical education by which students participate in teaching-learning courses. Clinical education is supervised and offered through college-affiliated hospitals. Upon graduating from the program, students can take the licensure examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

St. John's University's Radiology Program

St. John's University, located in Queens, NY, is a private Roman Catholic university founded by the Vincentian Community. Those interested in earning a radiological sciences bachelor's degree receive two years of instruction at the Queens campus and an additional two years at St. John's University's Dr. Andrew J. Bartilucci Center in Fresh Meadows. Additionally, radiologic sciences students have access to the university's healthcare-oriented student organizations, including the American College of Healthcare Executives (Student ACHE).

Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Radiological Sciences

The B.S. in Radiological Sciences is offered through St. John's University's College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions. The university requires students to complete 127 credits through courses such as philosophy, math, English, radiation physics, anatomy, radiographic procedures and pathophysiology. Graduates of the bachelor's-level radiological sciences programs can take the New York State Radiologic Technology Licensing Examination, as well as the ARRT Certification in Radiography.
