Real Estate Agent Certification and Certificate Programs
Certificate programs for real estate agents provide individuals with a broad understanding of the real estate market, local zoning and tax laws, negotiation skills, financing resources and property management. In all 50 states, real estate agents are required to become licensed, and certificate programs in the field provide the necessary training to prepare candidates for the state's licensing exam.
Real Estate Certificate
Real estate certificate programs range anywhere from five to eight courses in length and typically take one year to complete. Students are introduced to common real estate practices, basic economics, business applications, industry trends and regulatory principles. In addition to developing communication skills with a working vocabulary of real estate terms, graduates gain an understanding about how market trends impact real estate and financing methods.
Education Prerequisites
Most programs do not require previous training or experience in the real estate field.
