The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) is one of three main campuses within the University of Illinois school system. The school is based in the Little Italy neighborhood of the nation's third largest city, approximately 24 miles from Schaumburg, and students have access to a very busy urban lifestyle. The largest university in the city, it's one of the nation's major research institutes and home to the nation's largest medical school. Degree programs are offered at the bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels in more than 200 programs of study. According to U.S. News and World Report, UIC is ranked in the top 10 national universities in regards to its racial diversity.

College of DuPage
Students at the College of DuPage, the largest community college in Illinois and the third largest in the country, choose from transfer and associate degree programs and certificate programs. The college offers seven associate degree programs in 59 areas of study, including political science, religious studies, biotechnology, English, history, pre-medical and psychology. The school is within 13 miles of Schaumburg, Illinois, and has an active campus life. Performing arts, organizations and clubs are some of the activities open to students. A number of on-campus facilities provide access to on-the-job training, including a childcare center, dental hygiene clinic and salon.

DeVry University in Chicago
DeVry University provides associate's, bachelor's and master's degree programs to students seeking careers in information sciences, health sciences, liberal arts, media arts, business and engineering.
